Question: How can i prevent a yeast infection?

I've been frequently getting minor yeast infections ever since I started having periods and it seems I get a yeast infection after every cycle...I'm tired of it...I've used vagisil wash and wipes so I won't smell...and I've tried the insert capsules but I don't want to have to do that every month!!!...how can I prevent them from happening to begin with...I want to know if there is something I can do something at home before I go to the doctor for it...I'm seeing them for enough issues! Hips, Shoulder, Back spasms, Chronic Migraines, and over active nerves :- (...I'm just messed up. Any suggestions to help lessen my issues would help a lot.

When you get one, use canisten duo the tablet before you go to bed then bath the next morning to wash out the tablet remains! It doesnt hurt one bit you have no idea its there, and theres a cream with it too.. Its gone the next day! Stay away from Citrus, orange juice, lemonade, dilutey orange..... - drink loads of water, blackcurrent, cranberry juice. Eat dark chocolate! Try stay away from sugary alcoholic drinks too. - most of them They are the only reasons I get yest infections!

Take probiotics and quit using vagisil wash. These washes disturb the normal flora of your vagina. Eating yogurt will also help. I would recommend taking 3-4 probiotics capsules per day. Be aware that this can cause you to have gas initially.

Preventing yeast infections: Use ONLY PLAIN WATER to clean your external genital area. NO SOAPS OR WASHES! Do not douche. Wear underwear made of natural fibers ONLY, such as cotton or silk. Your external genitals need to be kept as dry as possible when not bathing or swimming. Leave underwear off at bedtime to allow your genital area to breathe overnight. DO NOT sit in a wet bathing suit all day. Change into something dry if you're not going to be in the water for a few hours. NO BUBBLE BATHS! NO HOT TUBS! Eat yogurt with live, active cultures (it will say on the label). ESPECIALLY if you're on any antibiotics. Get screened for diabetes. Watch your sugar intake. See a gynecologist if you've tried all the above methods for a few months but still have no relief.

Eat young and use unscented body wash down there I had one 2 months ago and I am fine since I went to my doctor and that what she told me and she also said not to wear skinny jeans all the time cause it is to tight down there and too moist... I still wear them sometimes just not as much as I just too I usually wear yoga pants now hope this helps sweetie
