A bit embarrassing, but how to cure a yeast infection?
I am headed to the Walmart to pick up some monistat, and I was told to stay away from soda and sweets. Also, no baths just showers, and cold water if I can stand it. I've also heard yogurt can be helpful. Is that true? What about douching? I do that about once a year, and just use soap the rest of the time. Will that help or hurt the situation? Any other ideas, helpful hints? I am embarrassed enough already. But all part of being a woman I guess. And no sex till it's gone right?

I need to find out about how and what you do to cure a systemic yeast infection? I started noticing the symptoms of it around a half a year ago. I tried something that had cure me of it at that time or so I thought and now i'm not so sure. I'm worried about how serious of a case mine is and the dangers of it. I appreciate all and any of the help or advice you can give me. My idea was to try using a product called Whole Body Yeast Balance. Mine seems to be chronic over a year and half now of discharge . I went to my gyno and he said it was a yeast infection. He prescribed antibiotics and a cream. The cream helped with the skin irritation. The antibiotics didn't do anything for the discharge. I went back. He gave me another antibiotic, which didn't help. So I tried monostat. That didn't work. He prescribed a higher dosage of monostat. Still didn't work. So I looked up home remedies and tried the yogurt tampon thing. Did not work either Nothing seems to be helping at all Can this discharge just be a normal thing that I have or is he right that it's a yeast infection. And if so, why won't it go away and what should I do?Oh, and I have tried douching a few times as well, before the monostat application and also on its own. Nope, no help either.I am not itchy or smelly at all, the discharge is a pale yellow and not cottage cheese like. I also was just diagnosed with hpv, could this be a symptom of hpv that comes with it?

okay i am 13 and i was visiting an aunt, my pad flipped over while i was sleeping and for the whole night and the rest of that day i was sitting in period blood even though i had removed the pad and it was very bloody and gross. i later washed my underwear but my vagina started to ITCH and burn and i began to have tons of pain when my shorts would rub even gently on my vagina and it is very painful and especially on my clitoris and i looked at it and my clitoris has discharge in it and i think i got the infection from the period blood or like a hair stuck in my clitoris or something, i have gotten a hair stuck in it before like a short dog hair for no reason and i pulled it out with tweezers and uit was fine but it hurts to much this time to pull it apart and see whats up with it. so i would like to THINK its a yeast infection and i would like to know if there is anyway at home to treat it naturally first and if that doesn't work what i could buy to treat it. also what do you think i have if you think it isn't a yeast infection?

i got a yeast infection...its driving me nuts.i am only 12 so i dont want to use monistat or anything like that. My mom already took me to the doctor but he gave me antifungal cream like in a tube and you put it on like lotion...that stuff didn't work though. So i heard of something called AZO YEAST. Ok, So Somehow I got infected with an yeast infection right before my period tampons, very hot, holiday in Italy, bath tubs? . I took 3 vaginal pills and then my period graciously decided to start, how very nice of him. While I was on it, I was taking another pill to help prevent another yeast infection from reoccurring. After the whole thing, I was given a cream to apply, so the ph in the vagina will be balanced again. All good. However, my dermatologist prescribed me doxycycline and retin a to fight my acne. Now not only I get awfully nauseated because of it its a double douse a day but my yeast infection returned in full spirit. Thank god it doesn't hurt or itch or anything It's just disgustingly disturbing and gets in my way. I cannot stop the treatment with the doxycycline as it's my fist week and I'm not sure what to take to cure the yeast infection my gynecologist is on a break until the 29th of September and I'm leaving on the 13th student studying abroad .My question is Since I will be on antibiotics for at least 3 months, would the yeast infection return after I complete a course with another product ?I cannot afford taking 2 antibiotics at the same time I'll literally crash my immune system What can I do to prevent the reocurrance?
