I was in the hospital for surgery and was on IV antibiotics then sent home with antibiotics. I'm diabetic and I always get these infections. My mouth really hurts. I would like some home remedies since this is a frequent problem for me.OTC stuff doesn't work for me. Nystatin and Diflucan work but they're prescriptions. I was just looking for an alternative.

I've been doing some looking around on Internet sites regarding yeast infections and found that plain yogurt helps balance the bacteria and stuff " down there" . I read that the most effective way to rid of the infection is to apply it directly to the vulva and inside of your vagina, but I am hesitant on how to do so. Any ladies have advice on how one should go about putting yogurt up their vagina properly? Lol ... I read that you can put it inside a tampon applicator and freeze the yogurt inside and then insert it as you would a tampon and leave it in there for an hour or so, but how to get that thing out makes me wonder. Please help me out I don't want to get over the counter treatment, my mom says it helps at first, but they come back a lot easier.
